The Regina Food Bank (RFB) is hoping to make sure no family goes hungry this summer.
This month’s “Every Plate Full” fundraiser is part of a national campaign. Approximately 918,724 Canadians will access a food bank over the summer and 37 per cent of the people who use food banks are children.
RFB will be setting the table for supper at various locations around the city throughout the month to collect donations. People who donate $10 or more are invited to write a message on the plates. The idea is to stack up the plates to measure the progress.
The goal is to raise enough money to provide 100,000 meals to families in need this summer. According to the food bank, it takes about $20 to feed a family of five for a week.
To find the dates and location or donate online, you can visit the food bank’s website.
