A Regina-based RCMP officer is on administrative duty after being charged with forcible confinement and uttering threats.
According to a news release from RCMP, the police force first learned of the allegations against the member on Dec. 18, though the actual incident happened Dec. 10.
RCMP then investigated the incident and charged the officer.
They’re not releasing the member’s name in order to protect the identity of the victims.
The member will appear in provincial court to answer the charges Jan. 3. A RCMP Code of Conduct investigation has also been ordered.
The charges were withdrawn on December 31, 2018.
