A couple of minor fires overnight Saturday kept crews on their toes.
The first happened at a house that was already severely damaged from a blaze in March.
Around 9:30 Saturday night, crews were called to 1855 Montreal St. There they found the back door open, some light smoke, and embers burning on the main floor, according to David Kinvig, assistant fire chief.
Then at about 3:30 a.m., crews were called to 2025 Wascana St., near Victoria Avenue. Kinvig said an unlicenced vehicle had started on fire, and the flames spread to a nearby garage. There wasn’t much damage to the garage as it was put out quickly, but the vehicle was fairly burned up.
An investigator with Regina Fire & Protective Services is looking into both fires.
