A 16-year-old boy has been charged in a murder dating back to October 2017.
The victim was Kelvin Pasap, 26, who was found not breathing on the 1000 block of Atkinson Street on Oct. 25, 2017.
Police ruled it Regina’s eighth murder of that year.
Investigations by the police and the coroner’s office over the last 15 months led to the teen’s first-degree murder charge on Wednesday.
The 16-year-old suspect cannot be named because of his age, based on provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
He made his first court appearance in Regina on Thursday morning.
