Two people are dead after a crash on Highway 1 west of Regina Saturday afternoon.
White Butte RCMP said a truck pulling an empty horse trailer and another vehicle collided in the westbound lanes at the Belle Plaine turnoff.
A man and a woman, who Mounties said were travelling eastbound before the crash, were declared dead at the scene.
The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation.
Highway 1 traffic was detoured Saturday evening as police investigated the scene. It was re-opened around 10 p.m.
