EMS crews in Regina took a man to hospital Monday morning after he was hit by a vehicle on Saskatchewan Drive, just after 8 a.m.
Regina police confirmed they were called to the scene at about 8:20 a.m. The crash happened at the intersection of Smith Street and Saskatchewan Drive.
Just after 8 a.m. the man was laying on the north sidewalk of the busy street, with people huddled around him.
At first there were two ambulances, a fire truck and about five police cruisers on the scene.
Police members quickly began directing traffic away from the site of the crash; they eventually closed off westbound traffic on Saskatchewan Drive as they investigated the collision.
