Regina police members have charged two teenage girls after they allegedly spray-painted a cab driver in the face and took his cellphone Wednesday evening.
A news release from the police says that at about 6:15 p.m., police were called to a robbery report on the 1700 block of Toronto Street, six blocks east of the police station.
Officers were told a taxi driver had taken two females to a home, where the teens sprayed him in the face with spray paint, took his cell phone and ran away.
The girls, ages 15 and 16, were found at a nearby home, arrested and charged. They can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The 15-year-old is from Pilot Butte, and the 16-year-old is from Regina.
