An early-morning taxi ride on Canada Day has led to sexual assault allegations and an investigation by Saskatoon police.
Officers said they received a report around 2 a.m. on July 1 from a woman who said she has taken a cab home.
The woman said the male driver convinced her to let him inside her house so she could pay the fare.
That’s when he began touching her inappropriately, she said.
The woman convinced the driver to leave and then called police.
An officer with the Sex Crimes Units is currently investigating.
