A 37-year-old Regina man has been charged in connection with a recent crime that the alleged perpetrator may have helped solve.
During a recent break-in to a garage on Rothwell Crescent, a set of vehicle rims still in the packaging was among the items taken.
The Regina Police Service investigation found an advertisement for rims on an online marketplace. Further investigation discovered that the rims in the ad matched those from the garage.
After a suspect was identified, police officers obtained a search warrant for a home on Dorothy Street. When the search found the stolen items, a man was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
He’s to appear in provincial court on June 11.
