Two people were arrested Monday night after a person was threatened with a hatchet in the 3800 block of Albert Street.
According to a media release issued by the Regina Police Service, a 34-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. A 25-year-old man was charged with failing to comply with a probation order in connection with the same incident.
The release said that, just after 8:20 p.m., police received a report of a woman pulling a hatchet on another person. After finding the victim unharmed, the officers’ investigation led to the identification of the suspects and, subsequently, to their arrests.
They were to appear in court Tuesday.
