The body of a 30-year-old man from the Cote First Nation, presumed to have drowned, was pulled from the Assiniboine River by volunteers on Sunday morning.
According to Kamsack RCMP, Ernest Severight was seen falling into the water at the base of the Kamsack Concrete Weir the night of April 23.
He was believed to have drowned and a recovery effort was started, involving multiple agencies and communities.
Severight’s body was found about 10 metres downstream from the weir.
