Hit and run near Meadow Lake leaves one man dead

A 24-year-old Flying Dust First Nation man is dead after a hit and run Saturday morning.

RCMP say it happened just before 5 a.m. on the Matchee-Neeb Road 20-kilometres east of Meadow Lake.

The vehicle did not remain at the scene.

Anyone that may have seen the crash, or the vehicle is asked to contact police.

Meadow Lake RCMP, members of Saskatoon MCU, North Battleford Forensic Identification Services, Saskatoon Collision Reconstruction and North Battleford GIS are all assisting with the investigation.

An autopsy is expected to take place this week.
