What started as the investigation of a fatality in a single-vehicle crash has turned into a homicide case for the Regina Police Service.
In a media release Thursday, police said the death of 30-year-old Denny Troy Jimmy now is being considered a murder.
On Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Fifth Avenue and Lindsay Street at about 8:45 p.m., after receiving a report of a single-vehicle collision. When they arrived, the officers found a dead man inside the vehicle.
The subsequent investigation has led police to believe that Jimmy was murdered.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500, their local law enforcement agency or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
