SaskPower is reporting that power has been restored to northwest Regina, after the Crown corporation said the power went out around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday.
The utility provider reported that the Westhill, Fairways West and Normanview areas were all without power, due to a problem with a substation breaker.
A communications person with SaskPower told 980 CJME power was restored at 6:30 a.m., although there was no update given until 8:30 Tuesday morning.
The outage affected about 2,000 households, the communications person said.
There’s also a planned power outage scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday in Whitmore Park for system maintenance.
