Summer storm sweeps across southern Saskatchewan

It swept across the province from Alberta to Manitoba.

Southern Saskatchewan was hit by a storm on Monday and with it — thunder, lightning and heavy rain.

Environment Canada called severe thunderstorm watches and warnings from Martensville all the way south to the US border.

A few tornado warnings were also issued for areas including Moose Jaw, Assiniboia and Fort Qu’Appelle.

Stormy weather delayed the Riders home opener at around half time.
