A sidewalk bike ride turned into something more sinister for Saskatoon police.
Officers said they spotted a 16-year-old boy cycling on the sidewalk along Avenue C North around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police caught up with the teen and searched him.
They found a concealed sawed-off rifle and a large knife.
The boy was charged with several weapons offenses and breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
