Sunday’s hit on Indianapolis tight end Jack Doyle was just as bad as the hit Burfict delivered to Antonio Brown three years ago that got him a three-game suspension.
The CFL should take note. Too often players like Kyries Hebert and now Simoni Lawrence get hit with a fine or a max fine, and the trend continues.
The league finally started hitting Hebert with suspensions and it handed Lawrence a precedent-setting suspension at the start of the year, but it didn’t carry out heavy handedness for his following repeat offences.
Kudos to the NFL for showing that it will walk the walk in regards to reckless head shots.
