Moose Jaw police needed a bit of electric current to help nail down a robbery suspect early Monday morning.
In an emailed media release, the police service said its members were called at about 3:18 a.m. to find a robbery suspect on Caribou Street W.
Armed with a hammer, a 37-year-old man allegedly stole items and cash from a business in the area. He then ran away.
When police members found him, still armed with a hammer, he didn’t listen to their orders, so they Tasered and arrested him.
The man now faces an armed robbery charge and two counts of breaching probation. He’ll appear in provincial court on Monday to face the charges.
The police service said no one was injured in the robbery or the arrest.
