SWAT team, canine unit called in to help with weapons offence Christmas Day

An investigation into a weapons offence had the area around the 1200 block of Rae Street cordoned off Christmas Day.

In a media release, Regina police said crisis negotiators, along with the SWAT team and canine unit, were called in around 5:30 p.m.

No further details have been released.

Police said “this matter is still under investigation.”
