A man wanted in connection with a murder on a Saskatchewan First Nation has been found dead.
Police said Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket, who was considered armed and dangerous, was located near Revelstoke, B.C. Wednesday.
The BC Coroners Service is now investigating his cause of death.
The search for Thunderblanket started Oct. 9 after a deadly shooting on the Little Pine First Nation, near North Battleford.
Cut Knife RCMP attended a home in the community just before midnight Oct. 10 after receiving reports of gunshots.
Officers found two people, both adults, at the home. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Friends on social media identify the woman killed as Tami Frank. Her sister was sent to hospital with serious injuries.
The 40-year-old man was also wanted in connection with another incident that left a B.C. Mountie with a gun shot wound to the arm.
Police said a Mountie was shot while trying to stop a vehicle near the community of Golden, located around 148 kilometres east of Revelstoke.
Rob Creasser, with the Mounted Police Professional Association of Canada, said multiple officers were trying to stop the vehicle, believed to be associated with a theft, when shots were fired.
Another vehicle was allegedly stolen at gunpoint shortly after.
