Kaitlin Willoughby potted the shootout winner as the University of Saskatchewan women’s hockey team beat the Alberta Pandas 2-1 Saturday night.
The win was the second straight for the Huskies against Alberta, after a 2-1 double overtime win Friday night. It is also their third straight victory.
Rachel Lundberg opened the scoring for the U of S, with the Pandas finding a late equalizer.
Cassidy Hendricks picked up her third straight win in goal as the Huskies record moves to 3-1 on the new Canada West season.
Next up Saskatchewan plays in Lethbridge against the Pronghorns on Saturday, Oct. 21.
