How safe do you feel in Regina?
A new Mainstreet/Postmedia poll finds 59 per cent of Regina residents say they feel safe in the city, though 56 per cent believe Regina is safe overall.
Under half of people, 45 per cent, believe crime in the city is increasing. And they’re not wrong. According to Statistics Canada, the crime rate in Regina is increasing by three per cent in the last year.
Around 39 per cent of people said the city is not too safe or not at all safe.
A total of 603 Regina residents were surveyed by phone on Oct. 12 for the poll.
