A Chaplin man has been charged with child pornography offences.
On Sunday, 56-year-old Robert Scott Ackert was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography, according to an RCMP release.
The charges are linked to a Nov. 29, 2019 search warrant at a residence in Chaplin. Several computers and digital storage devices were seized for further forensic analysis by the Regina Technological Crime Unit and the Saskatchewan Integrated Child Exploitation Unit.
Ackert will appear in Swift Current Provincial Court Monday.
Chaplin is located nearly 100 kilometres west of Swift Current.
