One night after getting blown out by the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Brandt Centre, the Regina Pats were in Medicine Hat for a rematch Saturday.
The score was closer, but the result was the same.
Mads Sogaard made 18 saves for the Tigers as they posted a 2-0 WHL victory over the Pats. Medicine Hat had won 8-2 in Regina on Friday.
Sogaard stopped nine shots in the first period and nine in the third. He wasn’t tested at all in the second, when the Pats were outshot 18-0.
Regina netminder Donovan Buskey was named the game’s first star after making 40 saves.
Lukas Svejkovsky and Corson Hopwo scored for the Tigers, who improved to 37-19-2-1. The loss dropped the Pats to 20-33-4-2.
Regina’s next game is slated for Tuesday, when the Moose Jaw Warriors are to visit the Brandt Centre. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
