One man is dead after an explosion at a residence south of Maidstone Wednesday.
Maidstone RCMP and the local fire department responded to an explosion and fire just after 6 p.m. at a rural residence south of town.
A man was found dead inside the residence. Another person outside the home was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The caused is undetermined, but RCMP do not believe the explosion was criminal in nature and there is no danger to the public.
