A snowfall warning is in effect for the eastern part of Saskatchewan.
According to Environment Canada, “a strengthening low pressure system will track northward out of the Dakotas today, giving heavy snow to areas near the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border. The snow will begin early this morning in the south and work its way northward throughout the day.”
The weather service said snowfall of between 10 and 15 centimetres is expected in most areas, while some regions can expect more.
Areas affected range from Wollaston Lake and Collins Bay in the far north to Carlyle, Oxbow, Carnduff, Bienfait and Stoughton in the southeast corner of the province.
