There are 11 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan.
That brings the total to 231.
According to a news release from the Government of Saskatchewan, four individuals in the province are hospitalized, with three in inpatient care in Saskatoon while there is one person in intensive care in Regina. There were no new reported deaths, keeping the total number at three.
There have been 106 cases that are travel-related, 65 are either contacts or linked to a mass gathering event, 13 have no known exposures and 47 are under investigation by local public health.
There have been 55 people who have recovered from the virus.
To date, 12, 670 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.
Guidelines for grocery stores
The Government of Saskatchewan is also outlining guidelines grocery stores should be practising during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The government says a good rule for calculating the maximum number of people in a store at any one time, including both customers and staff, is four square metres of retail floor space per person.
Stores should enhance their sanitation plan and schedule and ensure staff are practising proper hand hygiene.
Stores should not sell bulk items, except via gravity feed bins, or where staff dispense the bulk items.
Stores should also encourage people to not use renewable bags.
Hand sanitizer dispensers should be placed at entrances and checkout-lines.
