The UFC will not be coming to Saskatoon in June.
The announcement was made Thursday afternoon on UFC’s social media platforms.
UFC Fight Night was originally scheduled for June 20 at the SaskTel Centre.
The UFC, which has been hosting live matches without fans, said the cancellation was “due to current national and provincial restrictions on public gatherings and travel.”
The UFC did offer a glimmer of hope for its fans in Saskatoon.
“UFC looks forward to returning with an event in the near future,” its release reads.
This event was the only Canadian stop on UFC’s schedule for 2020.
