A fire at a house in Canora has resulted in arson charges for 30-year-old Levi Bobyk.
RCMP responded to calls about a house fire around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The first officers on the scene saw a broken front window with flames and smoke inside, but couldn’t safely enter the building.
The Canora Fire Department were able to extinguish the blaze.
No one was injured.
Several witnesses told mounties they saw a man setting fire to the house before driving away in a Jeep Liberty.
Around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday RCMP arrested Bobyk in connection and charged him with arson.
He’s scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Park on Monday.
