Regina is taking a few more steps towards what life was like before the pandemic.
The city’s executive committee announced the end of a few of the emergency measures initially started because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For one, paid parking in metered areas will return on Monday. City hall, the Transit Information Centre and Riverside Cemetery Chapel will also reopen that day.
Transit riders will have to pay bus fare starting on June 29. Tickets for parking violations in non-metered areas will also return on that day.
There’s also some good news for owners of food trucks. Fees on permits for mobile food vendors will be waived.
