A Regina man has been sentenced to six years in prison in connection with Regina’s seventh murder of 2019.
Douglas James Fletcher, 61, pleaded guilty to manslaughter during an appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Monday. With credit for time spent on remand, he’s to serve 1,720 days in a federal penitentiary.
He also received a 10-year firearms prohibition.
On Nov. 7, Regina Police Service officers were called to the 1800 block of St. John Street at around 11:20 p.m., when they found the body of Paul Richard Brule.
Fletcher was arrested the next day.
