A 55-year-old Regina man is facing charges of second-degree murder in connection with the death of a woman in Boyle, Alta., in December.
According to a media release from the RCMP on Tuesday, the body of a 41-year-old Boyle woman was found after a fire in a mobile home early on Dec. 18.
After an investigation by the Boyle RCMP and the Mounties’ Major Crimes Unit, the male suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, arson and offering an indignity to human remains.
The man was remanded into custody and is to appear in Fort Saskatchewan Provincial Court on Thursday.
Boyle is about 160 kilometres north of Edmonton.
