RCMP have charged a man with first degree murder in connection to a death on the Big Island Cree Nation.
On Tuesday Pierceland RCMP found the body of 28-year-old Jordan Sandfly outdoors on the reserve while investigating a theft.
On Thursday, police announced the arrest of 32-year-old Anthony Mitsuing from the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.
RCMP said the two men were known to each other and there are no other suspects.
Mitsuing was scheduled to make his first court appearance Thursday in Loon Lake Provincial Court.
An autopsy is also scheduled for today in Regina.
The Big Island reserve is located 100 kilometres northwest of Meadow Lake.
