Dogs in Regina — and their owners — should have a new playground this fall.
In a media release Friday, the City of Regina announced crews are to start construction Tuesday — weather permitting — on a new year-round, off-leash dog park at Mount Pleasant Sports Park.
It will be the third off-leash dog park in the city, but the first with an area set aside solely for small breeds. It also is to have walking trails throughout and fencing around the entire park.
The city expects construction to be completed this fall with other finishing touches, such as the planting of new trees, to be done in the spring.
