Murray Wood: Local radio is strong. Corporate ownership, not so much
Murray Wood says Rogers closed some stations that should be very viable. As a result, more communities are losing import...
Z99’s 33rd annual Radiothon was a smashing success.
The charity initiative raised almost $300,000 Friday.
The money will go to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Regina General Hospital.
CC, Lorie and Joel from the morning show spent 12 hours on the air taking calls and raising the money.
Usually, the event would be held at the Cornwall Centre and last 36 hours. Unfortunately, it wasn’t feasible with gathering limits and social distancing.
However, people were still able to interact and make donations.
The NICU is located in the Rawlco Centre for mother-baby care at the Regina General Hospital.
