People trying to escape the cold weather in Regina for a tropical vacation Tuesday were stuck at the terminal.
Sunwing confirmed in an e-mail that Sunwing flight 202 from Regina to Puerto Plata and Cayo Coco was delayed for over 15 hours.
The delay was due to unscheduled maintenance according to the email and the length of the delay was because of the landing curfew times of the Cayo Coco airport.
The airline provided meal vouchers and taxi chits for people who arrived at the airport before learning of the delay.
It also provided customers with a $150 travel voucher.
