Regina Transit is offering free rides for voters during the provincial election on Monday and also the municipal election on Nov. 9.
“It’s important for residents to exercise their right to vote,” Kim Onrait, the City of Regina’s executive director of citizen services, said in a news release Thursday.
“Everyone should have an opportunity to get to their polling stations and have their say in choosing leadership. Offering free bus service for both elections is one way the City can help.”
Riders will have to download an election day pass from the city’s website, which will be valid for both conventional and paratransit service.
