For the fifth straight day, Saskatchewan has reported more than 100 new cases of COVID-19.
In a media release Wednesday, the Ministry of Health said there were 112 new cases in the province.
The new cases included 37 in the Regina area, 29 in the Saskatoon zone, 13 in the southeast, 11 in the south-central region, eight in the far northeast, seven in the far northwest and one each in the northwest and north-central areas.
There were 54 recoveries, bringing that total to 2,934.
The total active cases in the province include 420 in Saskatoon, 283 in Regina and 199 in the north-central zone.
There are 48 people in hospital.
11 are in intensive care: six in Saskatoon, two in Regina, two in the north-central zone and one in the central-east zone.
