McDonald’s on Albert Street North has closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
That worker was last on shift on Friday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to immediately shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitization by a certified third party,” read a news release from the restaurant chain.
The news release does not say when the restaurant will reopen.
It says co-workers who were in close contact with the person who tested positive have been asked to self-isolate.
Any visitors who were at the restaurant at the time in question are being urged to follow public health advice.
