A young girl from Moose Jaw is doing all she can to help out people in need for the holiday season.
Aspen Williams, 8, is selling homemade Christmas ornaments and donating the proceeds to pay for hot meals at Riverside Mission, a local non-profit.
She joined The Greg Morgan Morning Show on 980 CJME to share more about the project.
“(My mom and I) looked on Pinterest and we saw these Christmas crafts that we could do. We thought we could sell them for Riverside Mission. They’re little light bulbs with presents and decorations on them,” she said.

As of Thursday, she had raised around $400 for the cause.
“The response has been really good. We have a lot of people buying (the decorations), and it’s going really good,” she said.
When asked why she felt the need to do this, she said it was her goal to spread Christmas cheer.
“I think people at Christmas time need a good meal and a hot meal,” she said.
She will continue selling her ornaments to fundraise until Dec. 18.
