Two men suffered serious injuries after a plane crash Saturday near Archerwill.
According to the RCMP, the Greenwater detachment received a report just before 10 a.m., that a plane had crashed about nine kilometres west and six kilometres north of Archerwill.
That community is about 240 kilometres east of Saskatoon.
Officers were told there were two people trapped inside the plane. The Archerwill Fire Department, paramedics from Rose Valley and Naicam, and a STARS air ambulance also went to the scene.
The Mounties said two men, ages 58 and 52, were “safely extracted from the plane” and taken to hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
The RCMP said there was extreme fog and frost at the time of the plane’s takeoff.
