The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced the signing Tuesday of a former New England Patriots draft pick.
Offensive tackle Antonio Garcia, whom the Patriots selected in the third round (85th overall) of the 2017 NFL draft, signed with the CFL’s Roughriders.
The 6-foot-7, 305-pound Garcia made NFL stops with the Patriots, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins.
Originally from Houston, the product of Troy University was named an All-Sun Belt conference first-team all-star as a senior after not giving up a sack on any of his team’s 900 offensive snaps. He was an honourable mention All-Sun Belt performer as a junior.
