It hasn’t been this cold in Saskatoon on this day in more than 100 years.
Environment Canada said Saskatoon was among 14 communities across the province to break temperature records Thursday morning.
The mercury in the Bridge City dropped to -39.2 C, beating the mark for Feb. 11 of -38.9 C set in 1905.
The coldest place in the province was in Meadow Lake, which hit -40.4 C. That also was a record for Feb. 11.
