Saskatchewan RCMP have arrested and charged a senior after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of cocaine, firearms and a large amount of money.
RCMP said the traffic stop was made around 8 p.m. Friday on Highway 58. Over six grams of crack cocaine and a large amount of cash were found in the vehicle.
Officers then executed a search warrant at a home near Gravelbourg and located over 27 grams of crack cocaine and 23 firearms that were not stored or secured properly including a sawed off shotgun.
Robert Arams, 73, of Gravelbourg, is facing a number of charges including resist arrest, unsafe storage of firearms, and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Arams will make a court appearance in Assiniboia on April 13.
