Health Canada is advising people not to use face masks that contain graphene.
According to the advisory, graphene contains tiny particles that can be inhaled and cause lung toxicity in animals.
The related risks aren’t as clear in humans, the advisory said.
As a precaution people are asked to avoid using face masks that have graphene or biomass graphene.
