Regina police say a woman was putting her child into a car seat when she was approached by a man demanding her keys.
According to police, the incident took place Thursday night in the 1300 block of Argyle Street. The woman handed over the keys and removed her child after being threatened.
“The male entered the vehicle, however could not get it started. The male fled on foot and was located a few blocks away trying to destroy the key fob he had stolen,” says a news release from police.
The 20-year-old man was later arrested and faces charges including robbery, obstruction, breach of probation and failing to comply with conditions of a release order.
