The age of eligibility to get a COVID-19 vaccination in Saskatchewan is to fall again Thursday.
Starting at 8 a.m., those aged 35 and over will be able to make an appointment online or by phone (1-833-727-5829), attend a drive-through or walk-in clinic, or arrange a vaccination through a participating pharmacy.
The age of eligibility remains 18 and over for people in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District.
Prioritized frontline workers such as teachers, firefighters, police officers, corrections officers and some health-care workers also remain eligible. People in that category must provide proof of employment.
According to the provincial government, there currently are 11,200 Moderna doses available. Pharmacies participating in the pilot project will have another 15,500 Moderna doses arriving later this week, to be administered next week.
“As of (Wednesday), the SHA has 6,000 appointments still available in their booking system,” the Ministry of Health said in a media release. “There are 8,000 doses available for drive-through and walk-in clinics beginning (Thursday) through Monday.”
