OSTRAVA, Czechia — Canadian sprinters Andre De Grasse and Aaron Brown raced to third-place finishes at the Ostrava Golden Spike on Wednesday.
De Grasse, a three-time Olympic medallist from Markham, Ont., ran 10.17 seconds to take third in the 100. Americans Fred Kerley (9.96) and Justin Gatlin (10.08) finished 1-2.
Brown, from Brampton, Ont., ran 20.40 in the 200. Kenneth Bednarek of the U.S. won in 19.93, while Kerley was second in 20.27.
De Grasse and Brown will next race at the Gateshead Diamond League meet on Sunday in England, where they’ll be joined by Canadian shot putter Brittany Crew and middle-distance runner Justyn Knight.
