Monday marks the first official day of spring.
March 20 is the spring equinox for 2017. Also known as the vernal equinox, the date marks when days in the Northern Hemisphere start getting longer than nights.
Unfortunately, the weather in Saskatoon is not expected to co-operate with what is, technically, the end of winter.
As of 7 a.m., Environment Canada was calling for temperatures in the Bridge City to fall from -2 C in the morning to -7 C by Monday afternoon.
Temperatures were expected to climb back up above 0 C by Wednesday.
