The suspect in a shooting on the Muskowekwan First Nation has been arrested.
In a media release Tuesday, the Punnichy RCMP said it was looking for Donovan Oochoo after a fight on the Muskowekwan First Nation on Sunday ended with someone being shot.
As a result of the investigation, police charged Oochoo with attempted murder, discharging a gun with intent and two counts of possessing a gun while prohibited from doing so. They issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Wednesday, Mounties from the Kamsack detachment found and arrested Oochoo at a house on the Key First Nation, which is approximately 200 kilometres northeast of the Muskowekwan First Nation.
Oochoo was to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on Wednesday.
